Glen Gore blazed to a win at the D-Day Half Ironman Event held in Maurtius over the weekend. Gore exited the water in 1st spot over the 1.9km swim course to head onto the brutal and tough 95km bike leg on the isle of Maurice. He dropped 2 places on the bike to come off the bike in 3rd spot some way behind the Frenchman who had a healthy lead heading out onto the 21km run. Gore managed to take 2nd spot within 5km of the run start and then proceeded to run down his opponent in the super fast K-Ruuz Racing shoes to take the lead by 12km, eventually winning by well over 9 minutes in the end. A great start to the season for the K-Swiss athlete.
